Blend: Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Franc (30%)
This blend is the result of the new generation enologist’s desire to go beyond Malbec. The choice of Cabernet Franc’s is not trivial, it is the grape varietal that has the fastest growing number of followers in Argentine and one of the most award winning varietals. The use of Merlot gives it that elegant edge and softer tannins without losing it’s body.
Terroir: Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Clay loam soils irrigated by gravity and dripping.
Grapes: High pergola system of trellising to provide protective shading canopy at altitude of 990m above sea level.
Pairing: Roast beef with herbs, chicken stew, green zucchini risotto with eggplant, cheese fondue among others.
Serve: 15°C and storage of between 10-15 years.
Production: 12 months in American oak barrels, followed by 9 months in bottle
Style: Structured, good body and aroma of ripped red fruits with spicy nuances.
